Photographer Inspiration - Payton McIntyre
My photographer of choice of whom inspired me this six weeks was, Payton McIntyre, a
talented and radiant friend of mine. I met Payton in my second year of this photography
class, and im lucky to have had the privilege to be introduced to different artists and styles
my senior year. I've had an appreciation of her style of works of which are art, made to
make you feel something. Her works are fun and visually aesthetic to young viewers.

Several of my favorite shoots were of people, their faces and
features were made exaggerated, and a selection of other photos, were made of vibrant
colors and dark contrasts. One of her more captivating shoots was her distortion shoot with
dark contrasts, It gave a fresh expression to certain features of the face and placed them on
different people in a way that was odd but at most, creative. In another shoot, her use of
vibrant patterns projected onto her models, created definition and vibrate contrasts. Her
other photo shoot with the use of lightbox, she used ice and food coloring to make vibrant
pictures that looked so surreal. Angsty teens are her specialty and she makes them pieces of
art.
In seeing her recent photos of our friend's senior portraits, I paid her to take my senior

her comfort zone. she was really fun to work with and she made the process so easy.
I admire how she challenges herself in everything she does and her works are displayed
flawless.

Assignment Plans
Music Inspiration
I thought i'd try and do both because I cant decide which one i'd like to do more! :)
going through my favorite CD covers and recreating them
as well as choosing my favorite songs and create an image that showcases the mood or any verse from the song.
To recreate CD covers i'd take advantage of the studio and any other images I can take elsewhere.
(models and options of songs are still being decided)
Painting with Light
I've wanted to try this since last year, but painting with light using steel wool
since this requires the night sky and a long exposure i'll be borrowing one of the tripods, and the shutter release. (location undecided)
Intense Wildlife
I've seldom taken animal photos let alone capture wildlife, I find animals to be the best models. I want to take a trip to the zoo for these, maybe even get a few of the deer in my backyard. For this i'm going to try out the macro lens (hey i've never really used it but once!) and see what kind of close intense shots I can get.
